Last August 02, 2012, a Forum on Infectious Diseases was conducted at D’Leonor Hotel, Bajada, Davao City which gathered partners and stakeholders from various medical fields to generate specific research topics on Dengue, HIV and Neonatal sepsis which may be further developed into full-blown proposals. The forum was also organized to determine how clinicians are managing the said infectious diseases, to monitor compliance with DOH protocol and guidelines, and to promote good clinical practice through research.
As an off-shoot of the abovementioned activity, the Infectious Diseases Technical Working Group of the Regional Health Research and Development Consortium XI (RHRDC XI) is set to conduct a Research Workshop on Infectious Diseases wherein working titles developed during the forum will be developed into proposals by the participants. Proposals developed will be critiqued by distinguished clinicians and will be facilitated into enhancing the proposal that is hoped to be funded under the Regional Research Fund (RRF) Initiative of Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD).
