Biostatistics for All Researchers: An In-depth Training
The Regional Health Research and Development Consortium (RHRDC XI) conducted a 2-day Training for Non-biostatisticians last November 16-17, 2017 at The Ritz Hotel at Garden Oases. This activity is a brief training course for researchers in the application of statistics in wide range subject of biology to both biostatistician and non-biostatistician researchers. Among the topics that were thoroughly discussed are: problem identification and objective setting, measuring study variables and data collection, research design, sampling and sample size, introduction to data management using Epi Info 7 statistical software, data analysis and reporting study findings.
The training was made successful through the guidance of professors from University of the Philippines Manila namely: Prof. Maylin C. Palatino, Chair of the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics and Prof. Kim L. Cochon, Assistant Professor 1 from the same department.
