RHRDC XI Launched Its 1st Compendium of Abstracts
The Regional Health and Research Development Consortium XI (RHRDC XI) launched its first Compendium of Abstracts last July 30, 2015 at the Grand Regal Hotel, Davao City.
As balloons were cut together by the pillar-institutions, the compilation of 54 research studies abstracts was formally unwrapped to the public. These abstracts, which had either won the past Health R&D Expo, DOST-PCHRD Gruppo-Medica, PNHRS and/or have been funded by DOST-PCHRD in 2011 to 2013 have been divided to nine different categories. These categories are based on the country’s National Unified Health Research Agenda (NUHRA) and the Region’s Unified Health Research Agenda (RUHRA).
The Compendium of Abstracts is just one of the initiatives of Research Information and Utilization Committee (RIUC) of RHRDC XI in relation to its goal of promoting and disseminating health researches in Davao region. “This compendium will be a tool both for public and private organizations to assist them in coming up with policies and programs, especially in the development of their own research agenda” message of consortium’s Chairperson, Dr. Warlito C. Vicente.
Complementary copies were given to the research authors, RHRDC XI member-institutions and other private organizations.
Currently, the RIUC is working on getting an International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) from the National Library of the Philippines.
