The Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) is calling for nominations to its Young Scientist Training (YST) Program which will start on March/April 1, 2021.
The Asia Pacific Center for Theoretical Physics (APCTP) opens a few positions for the APEC YST Program at the postdoctoral fellow level in Theoretical Physics and related fields. The program aims to provide career development opportunities for young physicists from APEC member economies who are at an early stage of their research career but with a proven record of research.
The Fellowship will be held at the APCTP, Pohang, Korea, where an ideal environment for research is provided for potential collaborations with in-house senior academics (Junior Research Groups), POSTECH faculty and members, visiting scholars from Korea and abroad, and participants of various scientific programs organized or supported by the APCTP. Funding is initially available for one year. Renewal for the second year will depend on the research performance and the availability of resources for the program. The annual gross salary is KRW 36,000,000 with additional research expenses (KRW5,000,000/year) and relocation allowance. Please note, however, that in order to apply for a work visa in Korea, an applicant should have a doctoral degree two (2) months before the start of the work.
Interested applicants are requested to submit the following requirements to DOST (This email address is being protected from spambots.
