The Regional Health Research and Development Consortium XI’s (RHRDC XI) Executive Management Committee together with the representatives from the Philippine Council of Health Research and Development convened last February 24, 2017. The said meeting is part of the effort of the consortium to be kept updated with the current health related concerns that can be addressed by the consortium. Discussions were made regarding the consortium’s operations and review of the capsule proposals that were submitted for 2017 funding under the Regional Research Fund of the PCHRD.
The committee also met Dr. Lowela Siarot , one of the recipients of the Balik Scientist Program from of the Department of Science and Technology XI who is currently working with the University of the Philippines in Mindanao (UPMin). The committee hopes that Dr. Siarot could assist the member-institutions of the consortium especially in the field of biotechnology, cell biology and immunology.
