Dr. Warlito C. Vicente, Chairperson of the Regional Health Research and Development Consortium XI (RHRDC XI) was chosen to be one of the Science Ambassadors of the Department of Science and Technology XI during the department’s National Science and Technology Week (NSTW) Celebration last July 25, 2016.
Along with him who received this recognition were the Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Z. Duterte; Mr. Ruben J. Gonzaga, host of Agri Tayo Dito; Davao City Councilor Pilar C. Braga; Brgy. Captain Arnolfo Ricardo B. Cabling; Mr. Sebastian L. Angliongto, Chairperson of Mindanao Science and Technology Park Consortium; the late Dr. Dulce M. Flores and the late Dr. Edmundo B. Prantilla. The award Science Ambassador award was given since the department believes that these individuals inspire the youth and the general public to strive towards inclusive growth thru science, technology and innovation.

The NSTW Celebration is an event of the Department of Science and Technology XI in partnership with the Technology Application and Promotion Institute (DOST-TAPI). With a theme “Juan Science, One Nation,” NSTW 2016 aimed to showcase the agency’s flagship programs, bringing together various technologies and services implemented under the DOST system. This was celebrated last July 25-27, 2016 at the Activity Area, NCCC Mall, Davao City.
